Toyota Prius V is based off of the 3rd generation Prius body style. It is an extended hatchback wagon, with 50 percent more interior cargo space. The Prius V gets the same mile per gallon (mpg) as the 3rd generation, 48 combined city/highway. The battery is the same as a 3rd generation Prius, a 1.3 kWh battery with 28 individual cells. Each cell is roughly around 7.2 volt 6.5 amp hour. The price for a new battery from the dealer is $3,938 before tax and installation. Because of our reconditioning process we’re able to bring our batteries back to that 6.5 amp hour rating for a fraction of the cost of a new battery and without needlessly having to throw away the good cells in the battery.
